Christmas Gift Idea 1 –  Your Health and Your Life

Christmas Gift Ideas 2018 - Goal and DreamsMany of us in Singapore are busy people, work starts at 8.30 am and ends at 5.30 pm. However, from our personal experience, it is not uncommon to see people OT in Singapore. As a matter of fact, it is not surprising to see companies with work cultures that encourages OT in Singapore.

Adding travel time into the mix, many people would have committed at least 12 hours to work every day from January to December. Such a lifestyle creates stress to the body. Whatever we use now, we will have to pay it back in the future.

This is described as the 7th habit in Stephen Covey’s book, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, Sharpen the Saw.

Although it is important to work to earn money in Singapore, many would choose to complain about their situation instead of doing something about it. Complaining leads you nowhere. As described as the 1st habit by Stephen Covey, Be Proactive.

2018 is ending soon, during this Christmas, list down what you can do to better your health and your life.

Christmas Gift Idea 2 – Self-Improvement Courses

One important aspect to better your life is to continue to learn. Dedicate 20 minutes a day to learn a new skill that will help you further your skillset. We lived in a world with unprecedented access to resources.

Quoting Tony Robbins “It’s not the lack of resources that causes failure, it’s the lack of resourcefulness that causes failure.”

There are many resources such as Coursera, Udemy and even the library in which you can learn new things. Singaporean can also utilise their Skillsfuture credits to attend courses that enhances their employability.

If you are looking for investment in Singapore for beginners, ITP has a Skillsfuture claimable course that educates beginners on how to invest in the stock market with little capital, in a safe and profitable manner.

Christmas Gift Idea 3 – Books

best investing books to read

Books are an excellent way to learn from the minds of successful people. Successful people are around the world and they lead their own busy lives just like how all of us live our own busy lives.

We are unable to stalk them to learn their craft nor are we able to go through the same experience that they have endured on their path to success as it was the past.

However, we are able to get into the minds and experience of successful individuals through books. Years of experience, knowledge, thoughts and strategies compiled into a book.

Here is a list of best investing books that we at ITP feels are good reads.

Christmas Gift Idea 4 – Stocks

During our interaction with Mary Buffett, she described how Warren Buffett used to give them cash as Christmas gifts before switching to gifting them shares as they “will just spend the cash away”.

The stock market has been quite volatile this year, however, volatility creates opportunities. Here are the a list of best stocks to invest now that we at ITP are interested in. It’s not a buy or sell recommendation, so please do your due deligence.
